About The Department

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2012 with the basic objective of providing skill-based education in the field of Information Technology. Right from its inception, the department has been offering well – built infrastructural facilities with different computer platforms for grooming professional students to meet the incessant demands of the IT Industries. The Department strives to produce eminent professional tuned to the real time working environment. To fulfill this objective, the software, hardware and curriculum are updated regularly.

The Department of Information Technology has well equipped with state of art laboratories having HP Machines. There are two connected to 110 distributed nodes via wire and wireless connectivity. The software for handling the laboratories is properly licensed. Faculty members have expertisation in areas like Wireless Networks, Databases, Data Mining, Grid Computing, Soft Computing and so on. Students are encouraged to participate in various activities like paper presentation, technical quiz, software debugging, sports, NSS, YRCC, and cultural activities. Students are motivated to undergo In-Plant Training every year. Industrial Visits are arranged to get Industry exposure.

UG – B.Tech – Information Technology

To create groomed, technically competent and skilled intellectual IT professionals specifically from the rural area to meet the current challenges of the modern computing industry.


M1: To provide technical solutions in the field of Information Technology to the society.
M2: To provide need-based quality training in the field of Information Technology.
M3: To enable the student to experience the Unified Field as the Self and engage the functioning of Natural Law for his own and society’s fulfillment.
M4: To maintain state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories where students and faculty can enhance their understanding of technology
M5: To provide students with the tools to become productive, participating global citizens and life-long learners.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’S)

PEO1: Core Competency: Graduates will be successful professionals in career by applying the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering with appropriate techniques and modern tools.

PEO2: Professionalism: Graduate will exhibit soft skills, professional and ethical values and thrust for continuous learning to maintain professionalism in the IT industries.

Program Outcomes (POs)

PO1: Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the IT enabled solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2: Problem Analysis: Identify, analyze and provide solutions to the problems reaching substantiated IT enabled conclusions.

PO3: Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the desired needs within realistic constraints.

PO4: Conduct Investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern Tool Usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PO6: The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Apart from the central library, our department has more than 550 books and CD’s. Apart from textbooks, the library has National and International journals and project documents. The library maintains an exclusive question bank and lab manuals which comprises a collection of University Question papers.
